Wound care

Wound care involves medical intervention to heal a wound after injury. Specialized treatment is provided for wounds that are non-healing or refuse to heal on their own. To promote healing, learning how to properly dress and care for wounds is vital.

Wound care treatments we offer

At our hospital, wound care is always centered around you: your needs, your wellness. Our personalized treatments are designed to get you back to the life you love as quickly as possible.

Hyperbaric medicine

At our hospital, we are fortunate to be able to offer hyperbaric medicine, or, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). Administered inside a pressurized chamber, HBOT involves breathing several times more oxygen than normal levels so that extra oxygen can populate your body and help wounds heal. While some conditions can be adequately treated in one sitting, most require a long-term commitment. But the commitment is well worth it once a wound has healed.

Limb preservation program

If your wound experience extends to severe damage of the extremities, we have specialized surgeons from our on-site Institute for Limb Preservation who are able to expertly tend to your condition. Working alongside other members of your medical care team, this dedicated team is prepared to use the variety of treatments at our disposal in order to save your limb. Given the sensitivity of limb-loss, as always, we will go over all possible treatment options to determine which one is right for you.
