Colorado has strong tort reform statutes that impose fair and reasonable limits on jury awards in malpractice lawsuits. Under Colorado's tort reform, juries are given better guidance and boundaries on their judgments and awards. Without these statutes, jury awards bear little relationship to actual damages.
As a result of these statutes, Colorado physicians have enjoyed malpractice insurance rates that tend to be lower and more stable than the national average.
We are committed to supplying our physicians with leading-edge medical technologies, including:
- Electronic medication administration record and bar coding (EMAR)
- Meditech, a system used for electronic documentation of patient information
- Picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
- T-System, which provides clinical documentation in the Emergency Department
- Computerized provider order entry (CPOE) updates
