Swedish Cancer Pavilion

Two renders of Swedish:

Growing with our community

We believe it is an honor and our trusted responsibility to grow and evolve alongside our community.

As we work to meet this responsibility, we have undertaken several large projects to expand and reconfigure our campus. These changes will improve access to care, foster expert collaboration and enhance our capacity to care for you in beautiful, comfortable environments.

Northwest Tower Expansion

As a regional referral center for advanced stroke treatment, neurotrauma, orthopedic trauma and the area’s only level I trauma facility with a dedicated burn and reconstructive center, we want to ensure we have adequate space and appropriate facilities to care for all patients when they need us most. In response to community needs, we have begun constructing a new tower on the northwest side of our campus, which will include 30 medical-surgical beds, a new bone cancer unit and inpatient oncology services. The project also allows us to expand and update our emergency department to provide efficient and accessible care for the most critical needs of our community.

Watch the tower construction progress from our live camera feed. [Select “Live” from the top left drop-down menu to refresh.]

The tower will have more than 160,000 square feet across six occupied floors, which includes a 15,000 square foot emergency department expansion. The updated and expanded emergency department will have a new drop off, lobby and waiting area as well as seven additional exam rooms.
