Officials suspect McDonald's E. coli outbreak affected all Colorado stores

The public health department confirmed that 26 people in Colorado are confirmed to have gotten sick.

State health officials say the cases spiked the second week in October. Doctors say it’s possible many people were affected but did not know what it was at the time.

“They may have a mild case, some stomach cramping, maybe some mild fevers, diarrhea may go along with that, but they resolve, so they never go to the urgent care or the ER to be seen, so they may never get diagnosed with the disease,” said Dr. Mark Montano with CareNow Urgent Care.
