Denver, Colo. — HCA HealthONE, as a part of HCA Healthcare, today announced the results of its annual We Show Up® For Our Communities days of service volunteer initiative. In alignment with National Volunteer Month, HCA HealthONE colleagues donated their time and expertise to help improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve.
“At HCA HealthONE, caring for our communities extends far beyond the walls of our hospitals,” said Chad Christianson, chief executive officer of HCA HealthONE. “Our colleagues are deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors, whether they are caring for patients, supporting local nonprofits or volunteering their time to strengthen the communities we proudly serve.”
During the month of April, more than 280 HCA HealthONE colleagues volunteered more than 520 hours with 8 local nonprofits. Whether building and donating bikes and helmets to an entire 2nd grade class, supporting the largest mobile food pantry in the metro area, filling backpacks with food for deserving students or donating life-saving blood, colleagues showed up to help those in need.
Across the nation, HCA Healthcare’s We Show Up® For Our Communities initiative resulted in:
- 1,866 nonprofits supported across the nation
- 9,790 colleagues who volunteered to meet local needs
- More than 41,800 hours dedicated to volunteering in the communities HCA Healthcare serves
In total for 2025, HCA Healthcare colleagues volunteered over 350,000 hours, and over 10,000 charitable organizations were supported through donations and volunteering across the country. Additionally, more than 1,300 colleagues served on a nonprofit board.
