Children who have complex surgery or need to be hospitalized due to serious illness or injury are often cared for in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Our PICU provides comprehensive care and monitoring 24/7.


PICU doctors and specialists

Our pediatric intensive care team includes board-certified pediatric intensivists (pediatric critical care specialists) and nurses who are specially trained to provide pediatric critical care and intensive care for kids. Your child's nurse is intimately involved in the minute-to-minute care of your child. Respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists and pediatric pharmacists may also be part of your child's medical team.

We care for children from birth through their teen years, making caring for sick children the core of our medical practice.
