Burn care

Hyperbaric medicine
HBOT, also known as hyperbaric medicine, involves breathing oxygen inside of a pressurized chamber. In the hyperbaric chamber, the lungs can collect more oxygen than would be possible breathing pure oxygen at normal air pressure. This oxygen is then carried throughout the body to promote faster healing.
Conditions that are treated using HBOT include:
- Burns
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Gas gangrene
- Crush injuries/compartment syndrome
- Necrotizing fasciitis
- Osteomyelitis
- Radiation injuries
- Skin grafts
- Thermal burns
Limb preservation and diabetes management
Diabetes is a chronic condition that can lead to serious complications if not treated properly. Chronic wounds associated with diabetes, such as diabetic foot ulcers, can eventually lead to the need for amputation, due to poor circulation, infection or neuropathy. When your care is in our hands, we do everything we can to prevent this and provide treatments that preserve as much of the affected limb as possible.
As a part of our individualized treatment plans tailored to specific needs and lifestyles, we also provide diabetes education programs so that you are always informed about your condition and corresponding care practices. We work closely with you to properly diagnose your condition, then to carefully manage it through nutrition, exercise, support and education.
