Surgical specialties at our hospitals

Bariatric surgery

Sometimes, depending on the severity of your condition, you may find that traditional weight loss methods are unsuccessful. In these instances, bariatric surgery, or weight loss surgery, can be an incredibly effective way to lose weight and keep it off.

ENT surgery

Our ear, nose and throat (ENT) team provides treatment for conditions of the head and neck. We offer surgical procedures to treat a variety of these conditions, including:

  • Head, face and neck cancer
  • Swallowing conditions

We also offer a specialized image-guided surgery for sinus repair.

General surgery

General surgeons are important utility players in the surgical field. Limb preservation surgery

There are certain conditions, such as chronic wounds or diabetes, that can lead to the need for amputation as a result of poor circulation, infection or neuropathy. Our specialized procedures for limb preservation help reduce the number of amputations needed, with an overall goal of preserving as much of the limb as possible to help you regain function. Some of our surgical offerings include amputation, avascular necrosis, bone healing, extremity replantation, mangled extremity, pelvic stabilization and sarcoma.

Neurosurgery

Our neurosurgeons work together to provide care for conditions of the brain and spine. Some of the neurological conditions we treat surgically include:

Surgery for stroke

Our hospitals offer advanced surgical treatment for stroke, including endovascular thrombectomy. Thrombectomy is a minimally invasive procedure that is used to remove a blood clot that is preventing blood flow to the brain, dramatically reducing the damage certain types of stroke can cause. Depending on how early you undergo the procedure, you may recover with little to no long-term damage.

Urologic surgery

The goal of our urology program is to correct conditions of the bladder, kidney, pelvic floor and urinary tract.

We offer a variety of urologic surgical procedures, including:

Minimally invasive surgery
