Project overview

The City of Englewood is in the process of a multistage infrastructure project to update E. Hampden Ave. to improve utility services under the road and make the area more accessible to pedestrians and vehicles.

Current phase

  • The road work is now in front of the main hospital.
  • Patients and visitors accessing the 499 and 501 buildings will enter and exit the front parking and valet area at the intersection of E. Hampden Ave. and S. Pearl St.
  • Valet access to the 601 Building and 701/799 Buildings is not impacted.

What’s next

  • In Phase 3, the construction closure will be in front of the 601 Building.
  • Patients and visitors accessing the 499 Building will be able enter off S. Pennsylvania St. and exit west on E. Hampden Ave. or exit south to S. Pennsylvania St.
  • During this period, patients and visitors wanting to access the main entrance (501 E. Hampden Ave.) will enter the 601 Building valet area but drive through to the 501 E. Hampden Ave. valet and front parking lot.
  • With S. Pennsylvania St. reopened, patients and visitors leaving the main hospital at 501 E Hampden Ave. will be able exit west on E. Hampden Ave. or exit south to S. Pennsylvania St.
