Rapid Response Programs:
Emergency Response Fast
Cardiac AlertTM
When a patient has a heart attack, the most important factor is time. That's why HealthONE partnered with physicians and EMS responders to develop the Cardiac Alert program that get patients lifesaving procedures quickly. This program was so successful, that it has been replicated by hospitals throughout the nation and is recognized as the standard of care by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
Stroke Alert
Similar to heart attack patients, stroke patients need prompt, coordinated treatment to ensure the best recovery. HealthONE hospitals work with area EMS agencies to identify stroke emergencies when the EMS providers are at the scene. This allows us to quickly assemble a team of neurologists and specially trained nurses and techni- cians. The minute the patient arrives in the ambulance at our ER, we have this highly specialized Stroke team re- sponding. Our Stroke Alert program has saved countless lives and minimizes the damage from a stroke for hun- dreds of patients a year.
Inpatient Response Teams
Many of our hospitals have created special teams--Rapid Response Teams--to respond to a patient room at a moment's notice if called or if monitors indicate a serious change in condition. Patients and families are encouraged to activate this response team if the patient’s condition is deteriorating, or if something just doesn’t seem right.
