DENVER (April 19, 2011)—Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation (RMCHF) has announced the selection of Luanne Williams as the new Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation. RMCHF is a certified 501 c (3) organization that was created in 2009.
Williams is an experienced leader in Denver area non-profits and economic development organizations. Most recently she served as Executive Director/CEO of the Colorado Neurological Institute and previously held the position of Vice President of the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation. For many years Williams was President and CEO of the Northwest Metro Chamber of Commerce where she worked with public, private and non-profit entities.
In announcing Williams’ selection Reggie Washington, MD, Board Chair for Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, said “I am delighted that our Foundation will be led by such an experienced and respected non-profit executive. She’s an excellent choice to support the Foundation’s mission to enhance the quality of life for pediatric patients and their families in the Rocky Mountain region and to support the mission of the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.”
Mimi Roberson, president and CEO of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children said, “Luanne Williams has an outstanding record of achievements. She has excellent experience in working with many organizations in our community and has a sincere passion and motivation to help patients and families. We are delighted to welcome her as Executive Director.”

HealthONE’s Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children Family of Hospitals: Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children (RMHC) transcends the “bricks and mortar” focus of traditional children’s hospital models of care. Through a rigorous affiliation process, other hospitals throughout the community agree to provide consistent, high-quality, and experienced pediatric care by adhering to a comprehensive set of guidelines and requirements, thus creating the “RMHC Family of Care” in all HealthONE hospitals.
All operating standards are based on guidelines developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Association for Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions.
RMHC at P/SL is the site of HealthONE’s anchor pediatric facility for specialized services, including high-risk obstetrics and neonatology with the region’s largest NICU for the most critically ill newborns.
HealthONE hospitals provided pediatric care to more than 100,000 children – from newborns to teens – in 2010 through inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. www.RockyMountainHospitalforChildren.com
