Community Partner Spotlight:
American Heart & Stroke Association
The American Heart Association has partnered with HealthONE in an effort to empower people to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and AED use. Through this partnership we have been able to train and educate upwards of 5,000 individuals in the Denver Metro area through community events, corporate CPR trainings, and lunch-n-learns. As part of the initiative, we hosted a Free CPR Training event at the University of Denver. At this event alone we were able to train 1600 people on both adult and infant CPR as well as how to use an AED in one day. Sudden cardiac arrest has less than a 8% survival rate. This is because most people do not know how to perform CPR. With partnerships like the one with HealthONE, we can work to change this statistics and save more lives.
Founded in 1924, we’re the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke. To help prevent, treat and defeat these diseases — America’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers — we fund cutting-edge research, conduct lifesaving public and professional educational programs, and advocate to protect public health.
