High-Risk OB, Neonatal and Pediatric Specialty Care at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children
Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at P/SL has an 84-bed, Level IIIC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This is the highest level of care available in the region for the babies that need the most intensive medical attention.
The Level IIIC NICU is the most experienced program in the region; in place for more than 20 years and staffed by an accomplished staff.
For any newborn or infant needing care for congenital defects or conditions, the HealthONE Center for Maternal Fetal Health is staffed with affiliated, board-certified neonatologists, pediatric surgeons and specialists. All of our affiliated doctors are active in private practice and are highly experienced in their field.
Three well-known and highly respected doctors serve as medical advisors to the Center: Richard Porreco, MD, perinatologist; Jeffrey Hansen, MD, neonatologist; Steve Rothenberg, MD, pediatric surgeon specializing in minimally invasive procedures.

The HealthONE Center for Maternal Fetal Health is the only program in the region to provide a Patient Care Coordinator, an expert nurse, to help you fully explore, understand and coordinate your care options. our Patient Care Coordinator, Megan Lee, RN, has extensive experience working with high-risk pregnant women and is bi-lingual English/Spanish.
