During a cardiac emergency, every second counts and HealthONE’s Medical Center of Aurora has implemented a program to help first responders and all medical professionals better treat heart attacks. Cardiac Alert™ was developed in 2001 in conjunction with physicians and EMS professionals so that first responders in the fields would have access to first-rate equipment and advanced training. Since 2001, all six acute care hospitals in the HealthONE Denver cardiology system have begun using the program. It’s now the national standard of care for patients suffering a heart attack.
