What is HealthONEDocs?
HealthONEDocs is the HealthONE VPN or Virtual Private Network, a secure, private computer network that HealthONE has constructed to connect all HealthONE hospitals and key facilities. HealthONEDocs will allow HealthONE physicians to securely access patient records via Meditech and view high-quality diagnostic images via Picture Archiving System (PACS) from the convenience of their home and/or office computers. You can access VPN online by going to www.HealthONEDocs.com and click “connect to VPN.”

What is the benefit of HealthONEDocs?
HealthONEDocs provides access to computer-based patient records and facility programs via the Internet, from the convenience of your home or office computer. And, because you connect using Broadband (high speed internet), images and information reach the physician faster. HealthONEDocs provides access to these systems:
Meditech
Picture Archiving System (PACS)
Additional Clinical Systems such as fetal monitoring, EKG, are also available if you have access to them when in the facility.
Who Should Use HealthONEDocs?
Any Physician who is an active member of a HealthONE hospital medical staff and who wants or needs Meditech PCI access from home, office or while traveling should consider the benefits of this free, convenient, 24/7 VPN service. Additionally, any active HealthONE physician who wants to get Picture Archiving System (PACS) radiology images from home or office or while traveling should consider the VPN service. For example, an on-call ED physician paged late at night can view a CT scan from home before going to see a patient in the hospital if necessary.
HealthONEDocs is your gateway to several programs you may use in your practice.
Do I need special equipment to use HealthONEDocs?
Yes, you need a personal computer (PC) that meets the minimum software and hardware requirements as described in Step 1 of the HealthONEDocs.com VPN information site. Additionally, you must have Internet access – especially high-speed broadband if you wish to use PACS or other patient imaging systems.
Next, you must complete a security application – download from www.HealthONEDocs.com Step 2 – and FAX to the number on the form. You will be provided withyour login information and instructions about how to use it to enter use Remote Access
If you do not already have remote Meditech access you will need a small software program called the Meditech Client Software. This will be provided to you by your Facility IT staff.
Can I use an Apple/Macintosh Computer?
Not at this time. The HealthONEDocs VPN program only supports the Microsoft Operating Systems ( 2000 and newer). Late in 2010 or early 2011 we will have compatibility for Macintosh
How can I get assistance in setting up my computer for HealthONEDocs.com?
After you have completed steps 1, and 2, on the HealthONEDocs.com information site, AND the facility has notified you that your application has been completed, you may contact the Central Service Desk for assistance if needed at 303-584-2232, option 1.
